Item description for Vintage Ram Mountain Goat Aries Brooch Pin Metal Art Nouveau Flowers

This is a gorgeous and impressive large ram’s face or head brooch/pin with prominent curled horns on either side. The brooch is very dimensional and detailed. It has the appearance of an Art Nouveau design with the nature aspect to it and the flowers. The brooch measures approximately 2 inches wide and 3 ¼ inches tall. I’m not positive of the type of metal that it is made from, but it looks like either a red brass or copper mix; it has a wonderful multi-tone patina that has formed with a variety of colors. It is not signed and I don't know when or where it was made, but it appears to be quite rare.

This brooch is in great vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. There are no dents or damage. I have not polished it as the patina looks great the way it is. I will leave that up to you if you so desire. The color seems to change with each photograph. It has more of a coppery appearance with the pinkish tones than it does the gold brass. Please look at the photos as they are part of the description and show the details better than I can describe.

It will be a fine addition to your collection of vintage figural jewelry. This is a wonderful brooch for a sweater or a coat and will look great on a scarf or the V of an elegant black dress. It will also be perfect with your favorite pair of jeans or as a lapel or scarf pin. I have taken a picture of it on a top placed in the “V” so you can see what it would look like. It would also be an excellent embellishment for vintage furnishing or on a decorative wood jewelry box.
