This is a lovely hand carved round brooch and earrings set made of wood. It looks like Sequoia Redwood Burl, but I wouldn't expect that to be from Switzerland, so it may be another type of wood. The set was stored in the box and marked from Switzerland, but it is possible it was from California. In the center of the brooch is a hand painted medallion or disc that is set into the wood. The circular centerpiece has a black background accented with hand painted flowers. There are 5 blue Forget-Me-Nots and two white Daisies with green leaves. The matching redwood button earrings are screwbacks for non-pierced ears. The brooch measures almost 2 inches in diameter and the center disc is close to 1 1/4 inches in diameter. The brooch and earrings are most likely from the 1950s. 

The set is in very good vintage condition with normal wear that you would expect for its age. The wood still has a beautiful high gloss shine. There is some finish loss on the back of the screw back hardware. It has a simple clasp on the back that is glued on. The glue is visible and there are a few marks on the back, but they are original to the piece. I believe there was a different clasp on the brooch, which had been replaced. It would have been mounted where the marks are. I have taken many enlarged photographs so you can see the condition for yourself, the pictures are part of the description.

This would make a great addition to your collection of wood or enamel vintage jewelry.
