This is an attractive pair of sterling silver swirl earrings in a three dimensional puffy crescent wave or stylized shell form design. These spectacular earrings with their wavelike design also remind me of a Mermaid's tail. They are stamped on the back 925 for Sterling Silver. Each earring measures approximately 1 ½ inches long and 1 inch wide. They weigh a total of .3 ounces on my postage scale, which converts to 8.50 grams. Please note I am using a postage scale and not a jewelry scale so it may not be as accurate. These were probably from the 1970s or 1980s, there is no maker's mark.

They are in great vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. There are no dings or dents. I have not polished them, they have the older patina that only comes with age. I will leave any polishing of the tarnish, up to you. Although they are quite large, they are very lightweight so they are comfortable to wear. The posts on the back aren't totally straight, normal for this type of earring, they are sturdy and work just fine.

They will be great for day or evening wear. Perfect with that little black dress or your favorite pair of jeans.
