What if a seller doesn't reply to a message about an item?

I am interested in an item in his booth and sent a question about it several days ago. But he hasn’t answered. Apparently he is not interested in making sales.

I wouldn’t trust a seller that doesn’t answer within 24 hours, at a pust 48 hours on the off chance theres a family emergency… as a seller i always answer messages as soon as i get them and very rarely a few hours later if i was asleep or out for instance :)

Sometimes I wonder if the message system has kinks in it.

Back in Feb., I got an email from Bonz support saying “Hope you are well. We were recently contacted by xxx regarding an item of yours they want to purchase, but they need your approval first. They’ve been having some trouble getting in touch with you. It would help us out if you could contact them back.”

I contacted Bonz and said I had never heard from this person – my emails and messages aren’t so busy that I wouldn’t notice, and I check in here every single day, unless I’m out of town, at which time I put booth on vacation.

I contacted Bonz again a couple of weeks later and mentioned I’d still never heard from this person. While I appreciate they probably had moved on, it was curious that I never rec’d any messages to the point they would contact Support, then totally lose interest at the same time.

I do check my Junk / Spam regularly, but I get very little, so again, I wouldn’t have missed it.

Yes, this has happened before.

sometimes sellers have booths that they may have forgotten about on here and that could be a reason you are getting no responses.

That isn’t a good practice as a seller, no doubt about that. You can look on the seller’s profile and see when they last logged in. That will tell you when s/he has last been active on Bonz. Generally that’s a good idea because unfortunately, some people do abandon their booths which doesn’t help the rest of us.

I would probably look for the same item from a different seller. If they haven’t answered your question, I doubt they are that interested in making sells. Also, if they do eventually answer and you purchase, you may not be able to get in touch with them if there’s a problem with the item.
