I do some writing for Yahoo Contributor Network and I want to write an article featuring the best items online sellers have found to resell. It does not matter if you resold the item on Bonanza or somewhere else.
My best item was a David Yurman sterling silver/turquoise bracelet. I found it for $40 in a resale shop in St. Louis, MO and resold it for $350. Before I resold it I wore it for a year!
I will not use your name (or seller name) in the article—just items.
Please [URL removed]
1.Item name, type or any other specifics—such as why it was such a great find. What you paid for it and what you resold it for
2. Type of location you found it ub (ie thrift shop, garage sale, flea market etc.)
3. Your city/town and state…or the city town state you found the item in.
Thanks for your help.

I found a a 1904 World’s Fair Lithopane Mug showing the Agricultural Building. It had a hair line crack in the bottom. I found it in the bottom of a $3.00 box lot of old mugs. Sold it in 2004 (the 100th anniversary of the fair). Got $320.00 for it. Found it in Windsor Ontario, Canada

My best return from an item sold here on Bonanza would be a 1950s battery-powered walking toy bear that I found in a pile of trash left in a property I purchased. It sold for $170.
But, by far, my best item ever sold online was an antique camera built by Simon Wing of Boston. Interestingly, Wing was the first presidential candidate for the Socialist Labor Party of America, garnering 21,512 votes in 1892. The camera was purchased for $5 and brought nearly $2500. I bought it purely on a whim in a Missouri shop.

I bought a trunk full of old uniform buttons, for $180, at a flea market, in Jacksonville, Florida. They were from some one that was a button sales person. There were about 10,000 in there. All sorts of police, fire department, military, state seal ones. I haven’t kept a grand total of the sales from it, but I’ve probably made $2,000 off of them so far. I sold one lot of 33 for $49.
