A replacement mini-roller 1-pack (no handle) This is a perfect stenciling tool for smaller detail and multi-color stenciling - Dense Foam Mini-Roller. The easiest and fastest way to apply stenciled images to a wall. Perfect for multi-color stencils, allover patterns such as damask and scroll, faux frescoes and murals. Great for craft stencils, furniture projects, card making projects.

We suggest having a separate roller for each color for faster stenciling. You can certainly use the same roller, but it will need to be rinsed of paint and dried before applying new color. Residual water in your roller could create seepage under the stencil.

Here's how to use the foam roller for wall stenciling:

1. First, pour some acrylic or latex paint on a foam plate or a paint tray. You don’t need much, about 3-4 tablespoons of paint is enough to start with.

2. Load your foam roller by rolling it over the paint few times until it absorbs most or all of it. There should be no visible paint on a roller surface, it should look almost dry.

3. Now blot off the excess paint on a folded paper towel by rolling it back and forth a couple times. Remember, it’s better to have less paint on your roller, than too much paint. OK, now you’re ready to stencil!

4. Place the stencil on your wall/ceiling/floor and tape it in place with few pieces of a blue painter's tape. Roll the stencil with your roller using light to medium pressure. Excessive pressure may cause paint bleeding under the stencil.

5. You can easily check how you’re doing by carefully un-taping and lifting one corner of the stencil and taking a peek. Do you like what you see? Is it enough pressure, or it can use a little more paint? If it’s too pale, just put the stencil back and roll it a couple more times back and forth, or slightly add more pressure. (When stenciling lighter colors over darker colors, you may need 2 coats to achieve good coverage. Let the 1st coat dry for a couple of minutes and then roll the stencil again.)

6. Re-load the roller with paint as necessary and continue stenciling until all stencil is covered evenly ( or unevenly, if you want the "broken" or faded look).

Now remove the stencil and enjoy your artwork!

Rollers can be rinsed, dried and used many times.
