Known for its unique look, the Monstera adansonii plant is a popular, easy-to-care-for houseplant.
You might also know it as the Swiss cheese vine, or Swiss cheese Monstera, trailing split–leaf, or five holes plant is a species of flowering plant from family Araceae which is widespread across much of South America and Central America. Monstera adansonii is known for its beautiful heart-shaped leaves. The leaves contain large oval-shaped perforations, which lead to its common name of "swiss cheese plant". It grows to be 3-5’ tall as a houseplant and up to 13’ as a vine.
The Monstera adansonii is a smaller relative of the famous Monstera deliciosa. It is often mislabelled as Monstera obliqua, a much rarer family member.
With the right care, the Monstera adansonii plant makes a great indoor houseplant.
