Axminster Carpet Loom - Art Print

There are six distinct kinds of carpet largely produced in Great Britian-the Brussels and Wilton, Axminster, patent Axminster, Kidderminster, tapestry, and felted carpets. The Axminster loom was originally designed by George Compton in 1881. After much experimenting and at an expenditure of nearly 100,000 pounds. It was perfected in 1894. It will produce 40 yards a day and can combine without difficulty and number of shades of color.
