Mizuna Red

Latin name: Brassica rapa var. Japonica

Mizuna Red has red leaves with coarse kagged edges. The leaves are a wonderful contrast to the green stems.

These strongly growing plants produce their green (actually red) rapidly, which makes an early harvest possible.
Its taste is wonderfully aromatic and slightly hot.
Young leaves taste excellent in fresh salads, older leaves are tasty as bread covers for a gardener break.
