4 - Antique 19th Century Dutch East Indies (Dutch Indonesian) Hand Fans, w. Handles
3 w. same design in different colored pierced paper / vellum, having gilt figures and decoration, w. loop at end of handle for hanging / holding & these are made of either wood, celluloid, bone or ivory; the more decorated fan is mounted at the top w. in black and red, w. intricate gilt designs incl. a large gilt bird in center, has a carved handle. 

Professionally mounted, fans do not appear to be mounted directly to the red back board, sewn /interlaced thru the perforations in the three colored fans, each end looks attached to the back board - the black fan sewn w. black cording, one on each side, also it's possible the handle is attached in the same way, see pics

The frame is solid wood w. gilt finish, the glass is large, full and thin. The red is on all interior surfaces. There is a sealed thick board / panel on back, obviously we have never removed the items from frame. Ready to display.

Dimensions:
Frame - 31 1/2" h x 22 3/4" w x 1 3/4" d
Fans: top black fan - 10" w x 10" h; yellow / green / blue - 14" w x 10" h (fan is 7")

Condition: all fans appear fine, there is a bit of 'blue' dust that was shed from the fan along the bottom, could use vacuuming (seen from top down, see pic). The frame is in great condition w.o obvious issues.

Shipping: local pickup only for the moment (Nassau County, Long Island NY) as the glass is large and thin, very concerned about easy damage - contact us w. questions..
