Here is a beautiful antique Chinese parlor hand fan from the Victorian era, late 1800's (Qing Dynasty).

Age vetted by my Chinese friend (previous owner).

Translucent silk fabric illustrated with an Idyll's of the Emperor scene.

Ebony ribs expand to 22" x 12" fully open.

Auspicious red lacquered storage box emblazoned with dragons and lined with "life lesson" scenes and script: "How to conduct yourself properly!"

Fan is in excellent condition, storage box has a worn patina from age and use.
