Embrace the dynamic flavors of the Poblano Ancho Grande pepper, a staple in Mexican cuisine. Its dark green, heart-shaped fruit matures to a deep red, and when dried, it's known as 'Ancho'. With a heat range between 1,000 to 1,500 Scoville units, this pepper offers a mild to medium kick, making it ideal for chiles rellenos, mole sauces, and more. It's a delightful balance of warmth and taste that ensures every dish sings with authenticity and zest.
GROWING INSTRUCTIONS:
Start seeds indoors 8-10 weeks before the last frost date. Plant seeds 1/4 inch deep in seed-starting formula. Keep the soil moist at 75 degrees F. Seedlings emerge in 7-14 days. Transplant seedlings when they are 2 inches tall into individual containers. Before planting outside, gradually acclimate the seedlings to outdoor conditions for 1-2 weeks. Plant outdoors when danger of frost is past and night temperatures consistently remain above 55 degrees F.
