You guessed it, I'm an August Baby, and I got stuck with Apple Green, when I'd just as soon have, hmmm, Blue Zircon -- matches my baby blues...

Anyway, the point is, I won't buy Peridot unless it's killer Peridot. I won't buy the stuff that has brown tinges to it, and I don't buy the stuff that looks all yellowy. (I wonder if I can use yellowy in a scrabble game? :-) Oh, and I won't buy the stuff that's all full of carbon or those flat lily pad thingies.

With history dating back some 3500 years, Peridot is found in many parts of the world. Vibrant green Manchurian Peridot is mined in northeastern China, historically known as Manchuria. Manchurian Peridot has a bright green color which is completely natural and untreated.

Oh -- about the price. Sorry about that, but Peridot pricing goes up exponentially with size. Good, clean Peridot is just getting to be pretty rare in the larger sizes, and I have access to Peridot from at least a half dozen places from around the world, and it's the same everywhere. Peridot, in large sizes, are pretty much gone.

BTW, Since we make this from scratch after you order it, we have a lot of flexibility. We can cast this in yellow, white or rose gold, and in any of 10k, 14k, or 18k. Obviously, some of these choices will affect the price, but email us and let us know what you're interested in, and we'll give you the best price we can live with. We enjoy a strong repeat business, and keep it by making good jewelry you'll want to wear at prices that we both can live with.
