The brooch and the earrings are designed in a gold tone setting; all of the stones are prong set. Each earring has six round rhinestones and the brooch has six round rhinestones on the outer ring with six spokes, each spoke has three orange square rhinestones. The brooch is signed “Made in Austria” and the earring is marked “Austria”. This set is most likely from the 1950s to 1960s. The brooch measures approximately 1 3/8 inches in diameter and the earrings 7/8 of an inch in diameter.
The set is in great vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. All the stones are nice and bright in vibrant autumn shades of burgundy red and orange, there are no dead or missing stones. The clips work fine but they are not a super tight fit. I have no trouble wearing them and they stay on my ears nicely, but they lack that tight snap feeling. The backs have some minimal wear to the gold finish, but my Mother did like to wear this set often.
This set would be a lovely addition to any outfit for that special occasion. The brooch would look stunning on a jacket lapel, sweater, scarf or dress.
