Lenox produced a wide array of fine china animals and figurines for its China Jewels Collection. The China Jewels items are favorites among Lenox collectors. The Lenox China Jewels Kitten in the boot is crafted of Lenox ivory fine china and hand-decorated and accented a delicate pattern of raised enamel red dots to represent the Holly Berries.

According to Lenox China; "Each drop of enamel is meticulously applied by hand in a technique developed in 18th-century France, then fired for lasting beauty.” The intricately designed red and green pattern is placed around the bottom of the boot. On the bottom of the Boot is the Lenox Hallmark, U.S.A. and the year 1996. It is marked in gold G965/10,000. This wonderful figurine stands approximately 5 1/2” tall. It is in excellent condition.

There is something inside the boot that makes a little rattle sound when you shake it. What a superb gift for a special person. Please look at the photos as they are part of the description and show the details better than I can describe. It would make a great addition to any collection.
