A truly exquisite antique 19th century copper & brass accented samovar from Kashmir India. Graceful Moghul style engravings cover this cherished family heirloom. From the graceful spout, the pierced base to the domed lid, this evokes a gentle time and place when you could spend time sipping tea with loved ones.

The silvery coating has come off over the years but traces still remain.

Faded elegance at it's best !

 

The hinge pin was gone when I purchased it & I thought the twisted wire added a certain charm to it.

 

You can see the heating pipe inside to hold the coal.

It is 13 inches tall, the base is 5.75 inches and the body width is about 6 inches.
