Batik Pond is an experiment with various batik fabrics in a general blue to blue-green-turquoise color scheme (although one little bit of non-batik fabric snuck in to the center of it). A few beads are scattered around, with a bit of sparkle added to some of the leaves.
My artwork is mounted on foam core, which creates a light-weight but rigid piece with a wire for hanging and a felt backing. It is treated with a sun-block spray, although prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may eventually cause fading.
