Item description for Vintage Seagull Bird Enamel Sterling Silver Brooch Pin Wing Earrings

This is a lovely figural soaring Seagull motif brooch and earring set. The brooch/pin has a silvery white enamel finish on the front and back, with delicate grey tips on the wings and the tail, the beak is yellow. The matching earrings depict wings with screwback fasteners. The enamel has an iridescent glossy appearance to it, not a plain flat white. The bird is marked Sterling under the enamel on the back, although it is difficult to read. The earrings are not marked. The realistic bird is approximately 3 inches long and the earrings are approximately 1 inch in diameter and have screw-on backs. This set is almost identical to the Charles M. Robbins, Attleboro, Massachusetts, but there is no hallmark.

The set is in great vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. The front of these pieces show no signs of wear, but there is a small bit of enamel missing on the back side of the beak; you can see the sterling silver below. It obviously does not affect the appearance from the front while wearing. The pin back clasp is in good working order, as are the screw backs on the earrings.
