Item description for Vintage Raining Cats and Dogs Brooch Pin Poodle Scotty Umbrella Brass

This adorable brass brooch “Raining Cats and Dogs” features a Standard French Poodle running or leaping at the top along with a sitting cat. Dangling from the dog and cat and attached to a chain are two Scottish Terriers or Scotties, two kittens and four umbrellas or parasols. The Poodle is highly detailed and has a definite personality.

This pin is in nice vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. There is an issue with the clasp and pin on the back. The rollover clasp has a crooked tilt to it and the pin is bent. It still opens and closes securely and doesn’t hinder the use, but it is damaged and I wanted to make sure you see it. It is shown in the picture with the arrows. I did not want to try to straighten it and risk breaking it since it does work the way it is. Please look at the photos as they are part of the description and show the details better than I can describe.

This is a fun conversation piece and is sure to be noticed. It is a terrific addition to your collection of vintage figural animal jewelry. It is a must have for any animal lover.
