Flowing Brook, one of my early pieces, contains fabric scraps from nine shirts, six of mine, two that I made for my husband, and one for a friend! I give credit to my manager at work for the idea to hang this from a rod rather than framing it. I used some fabric paint to try to shade the blue of the brook to be darker in the background. The fringe at the bottom worked well; I hadn't realized how many shades embroidery floss comes in!

This piece hangs from a cord attached to a rod in a sleeve at the top, and is not mounted on foam core, as most of my pieces are.

Size (not counting the hanging cord): 19½" x 15½"

My art work is mounted on foam core with a hanging wire, and can be hung on any wall with a standard picture hook.
