This is a gorgeous and elegant rhinestone parrot brooch or pin. The parrot is beautifully crafted in a gold tone metal and covered in round faceted brilliant white rhinestones or clear Swarovski crystals and accents of red, green and blue enamel. The brooch is not signed, but I think it might be an unsigned Carolee pin from the 1980s. It measures approximately 2 inches long and 1 ΒΌ inches tall.
This striking parrot is in excellent vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. The gold tone metal is bright and shiny and all the rhinestones are intact, sparkling and nice and clear. It looks like it was never worn; there are no visible signs of wear. It has a pin and rollover catch on the back, which functions nicely. Please look at the photos as they are part of the description and show the details better than I can describe.
This will look stunning with any outfit you choose to wear it with. It will look great for a fancy evening out, or with your favorite pair of jeans for a casual day of shopping. If you had a plain black evening bag, this brooch pinned to the purse would make it look totally different. This is a perfect gift for any bird lover or collector of fine figural jewelry.
