Item description for Vintage American Cocker Spaniel Show Dog Trotting Brooch Pin Figural

This is a beautiful detailed little American Cocker Spaniel dog brooch or pin. The dog looks like he is running proudly with his long silky coat of hair flowing as he moves. He has the distinctly shaped head that makes it instantly recognizable as a Cocker. The film “Lady and the Tramp” features the dog Lady, who is an American Cocker Spaniel. The brooch is a wearable piece of artwork, it is not signed, but I have not found another one like it. The dog measures approximately 1 ¾ inches long and stands 1 ½ high.

This brooch is in great vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. It is made of some type of dark brown resin or hard plastic. The front is most likely hand painted with a coppery color. There are no chips or cracks, just a couple of very tiny pin size air bubbles from when it was made. The glue on the back holding on the pin has yellowed with age. The clasp works just fine. Please look at the photos as they are part of the description and show the details better than I can describe.

This would make a unique and wonderful gift for any Cocker Spaniel fancier, dog lover, a dog breeder or groomer or your favorite Veterinarian. It would look great on any jacket lapel. What fun it will be to wear when you are showing your dog in the ring at the next dog show you attend. It is sure to get lots of compliments.
