This is a gorgeous red rhinestone brooch in the shape of a flower with stem and leaves from Western Germany. It has a Japanned finish with the lustrous black lacquer on the back and the stem. The petals consist of 10 sparkling brilliant cherry or ruby red marquise rhinestones (in two sizes), in the center of the flower are 6 Red Aurora Borealis Rhinestones in red and the 3 leaves are rich green rhinestones. All the stones are prong set and have gold foiled backings. The red petals are set at slightly differing heights that make it a bit more 3 dimensional.

This is in great vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged pictures. It measures approximately 2 inches by 1 inch (the flower diameter is 1 inch). It is stamped on the back on a raised round circle "Western Germany”. This was difficult to photograph due to the shine on the Aurora Borealis Stones in the center, they reflect the light beautifully and it was almost like photographing a rainbow. The clasp is in good working condition and each prong set stone is secure. Please look at the photos as they are part of the description and show the details better than I can describe.
