II am offering a CHINA Republic Pattern Dollar, Year 18 (1929) large silvered coin # 21.

Sun Yat-sen was a Chinese revolutionary and president. As the foremost pioneer of Nationalist China, Sun is referred to as the "Father of the Nation" in the Republic of China (ROC), and the "forerunner of democratic revolution" in the People's Republic of China.
Year 18 (1929) Republic of China. Obverse is a poor portrait of Sun yat-sen. now in 1929 the Chinese government asked all the national and foreign mints to submit coins with Dr. Suns image on one side and a junk on the Reverse.
The symbols on the reverse are 1 and 5.

OBVERSE: Bust poor portrait of Republic founder Sun Wen (Sun Yat-sen), Chinese legend above.

REVERSE: Chinese junk sailing r., value flanking as I - Yuan using the character usually translated "Original" in place of the ordinary square character "Yuan" for Dollar.

Edge: Milled.

Measurement: Approx. 40 mm or 1 5/8” in diameter.

Weight: 26.6 grams.

As a coin collector I DO NOT clean any of my coins to preserve the original patina, if you wish to clean the coin/s I will leave it up to you.
