Vintage Designer Signed Ladies July Birthstone Costume Jewelry Double Heart Pin.
The gold tone is textured both on the front and the back. A faux ruby red crystal is set in the upper corner over a smaller heart. This heart brooch has open work on the right half side and around the exterior of the pin. Marked on the back as Gerry's.
Ruby red represents warmth, happiness, family. It also signifies love and passion and shows of the fiery temperament of those born in the month of July.

I searched this pin over under high magnification. I found no loss of color.
The clasp is completely secure.
Please note: The pictures taken of this pin give an appearance of a few flaws. These are not flaws. The first two pictures make it appear as though part of the front is not textured but it is. This is just the way the picture came out.
Also on the back side, there is an indentation. This is not a flaw and instead is the area that was pushed in so that the small heart could be placed on the front with the faux red ruby crystal.
