The 7 Pot Brain Strain was developed in North Carolina by
David Cappiello. He developed it after breeding a pepper that originated from
Trinidad and Tobago. The name is a humorous reference to the unique texture of
the pepper. Its red skin has the crinkled and lumpy texture of a human brain.
The 7 Pot Brain Strain may have a smoky, sweet taste but you will have to work
through the heat to get there. At 1.3 million Scoville heat units it has a
fierce kick. The pepper is perfect for blending into sauces and stews.
