The fabrics in Blue Water Lilies, except for the sky, came from a single Sweet Treats packet of fat quarters from the Pincushion Boutique. I have always loved blue, and the lilies are just a wonderful rich blue that called out to me. Another piece has lovely butterflies, with matching ones on the lily fabric. And the hummingbird adds his own bit of life to the scene - though I had to piece together his beak from another bit of fabric.

My artwork is mounted on foam core, which creates a light-weight but rigid piece with a wire for hanging and a felt backing. It is treated with a sun-block spray, although prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may eventually cause fading.
