Camouflage began its creation some unknown time ago, but surfaced in its incomplete stage demanding to be finished!  It has only four different fabrics, but in this case, it’s enough.  Look carefully to see the hidden animal.

Now my husband did let me know that we never see this animal in a grove of bamboo.  However, I do love the combination of a tall animal with a tall stand of those trees.  The only change from my original layout was making the head peek out to look at us.

And in the Framingham Artists’ Guild art show in December 2021, Camouflage won a first prize in the Fabric category!  Currently on display at Dulce D Leche, Ashland, MA


 

My artwork is mounted on foam core, which creates a light-weight but rigid piece with a wire for hanging and  a felt backing. It is treated with a sun-block spray, although prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may eventually cause fading.
