Vintage Gift Shop Product Small Mahjong Game and 50 similar items

This came to me some years ago in a purchase of items from a Philadelphia gift store that had closed. They largely imported from Taiwan but most of their customers were Japanese so they handled a variety of both Asian and general merchandise. This was being sold in the seventies for $3.95. I think it is probably a "Travel Mahjong" set, an abbreviated version of the game but I could be wrong. But whatever it came with is there and I presume it is ideal for the purpose intended. Size about 3 1/4" x 4" x 1 1/2". Game "board" is a printed sheet of paper with a nine square left-to-right and top-to-bottom pattern so it is not Western checkers or chess. It may be a game I never even heard of, but the merchandise that came from this shop storage tended to be of decent quality and demand.
