I just picked up a 1970’s vintage Infinity single fin surfboard. Amazingly the board is in excellent condition. The finish is not as solid as you can imagine but it has no visible water damage. Short of applying a thin glass coat, does anyone know of an application that you can just rub on to protect the finish? I do plan on surfing on it, just want to preserve it.

I was hoping to avoid having to break out the resin though that would probably be the best thing. I was hoping to find out of a miracle rub or liquid finish that does not require curing or sanding. Just a polish of sorts that will create a protective layer.

Yep, spent a LOT of time growing up on the beach – sorry Mark, but a little elbow grease and some good wax. =(
