Giving it a go, however 6 months and not one sale...

We sold on Bonanza in the past, however we had some syncing issues with Amazon, so we left. Well, we figured we would give it another go and came back in January and just did a .csv upload to mirror our .www and spent that last 5 months fine-tuning our listings.

…We haven’t sold a darn thing. Our pricing is competitive/fair and using the 9 percent selling fee Google Shopping option. But again, not one sale.

Is this still a viable place to sale toys and games? Or have those days gone.

This is NOT the Bonanza (or Bonanzle) of old. I did much better in the past here but now you need to buy subscriptions it seems to get any sort of serious views on your items. IT SHOULD BE BETTER but it is not.

I do okay…not super, but somewhat steady with this booth and just firing up my other booth that was down while I was sick..a few others that sell toys do not too bad

But then I (and some of the others) do not list on either ebay nor amazon…so we am not competing with ourselves..

Some months are better than others. It definitely varies from one seller to the other or just the nature of having one month better than another.

I have about 48 listings on eBay, 30 on Etsy. Some are the same as here, some are not. Not sure how it is with u, but if u have some same items on your sites distinguishing the same merchandise between 2 different sites would be good to do like with a slightly lower price or offer a coupon here on Bonanza.

While I have had some slack months here lately (on other sites, too), I did manage to get a few sales directly from buyers doing a site-wide search, a few through search engines like Google organic and bing, and another one that was a really unique way but cannot remember the exact name of…. I think it may have been an affiliate something.

So, with having these happen in the last few months whereas it did not before, I think that is helpful and shows some promise at least.

The reason I got excited about the recent direct sales from buyers doing a site-wide Bonanza search is because I had only had one before this since I’ve been here, which truth be told is sad to say…but it is an improvement. Google shopping is how most of us get our sales.

Do you have any questions on how best to get your listings to show up in Google shopping, not sure but if so we can help you.

I do really recommend to have your banner not show evidence that it belongs on another site and is not 100 percent pertaining to your booth on Bonanza. In giving your Bonanza booth a chance having the banner (and the avatar) you have now is not giving your all to be honest

Good luck.

Thanks for the input, we really appreciate it. We bumped our adverting with the Bing addition and didn’t receive any additional traffic.

Sadly I think we are going to have to put this on vacation mode until we see a bit more interest in Bonanza. It seems to have great mechanics and very easy to use, however again, we put in close to 6 months of work, making sure all listing are compliant etc.

You have to put a price on your time and so far we are in the hole for about 600 hrs with not a single sale.

Best of luck everyone and we will hope Bonanza finds it’s footing.

You can leave your booth active with current items (turn off syncing from Bonanza if need be). That way, your items are still available for purchase. There’s no cost to do this. Just don’t totally abandon the booth. You should sign in every other day or so to check for any sales unless

your notifications are turned on. You won’t be an “absentee” seller if you do that. Nothing wrong with having inventory differences between selling platforms.

Thanks for coming back and posting. A lot of people do not. You’ve done the major work and it is free. Give it some thought on keeping your booth open.
