Another seller's 4 stars rating on my listing

How does another seller’s 4 star rating get on MY listing?? I am absolutely shocked that I stumbled upon this while editing listings. And right there front and center too :( If you click on the 4 star rating she actually got a 1 star.

I have emailed support, but wanted to know if this happens to other sellers?

Thanks,
Cindy

I think this has to do with reviews buyers can do on listings. I also had a rating that showed 3 stars and was concerned that this would reflect on me. When you click on it, does it go to a listing that has nothing to do with the actual item that the rating was intended for. Most times reviews…

when clicked on differ from the item the buyer bought and was leaving the review for..

It is not actual feedback that was left for another seller on your listing…the item the buyer left the review for is related to other items for sale on Bonanza. There are times when the buyer will make a comment on their purchase from the seller rather than a review left on the item. I’d email

Bonanza if this is the case so that they can take a look to see if the review should even be there.

Sorry, I see that you already did email Bonanza about it. Honestly, I do not like it and I do think shoppers will think it is in relation to my booth. Changing it up some and maybe removing stars and just having a review link at the bottom of the listing would be better.

Sorry for all the confusion this has caused @originalsbycindy. So, the 4-star rating you’re seeing is directed towards the item in general and not a reflection of you as a seller. We’re trying to improve our catalog so buyers can read past reviews of that type of item, which we believe will give buyers more confidence when purchasing items on Bonanza.

Regarding the 25 sales a year situation. I believe there was some confusion on our end and we misunderstood your question when you emailed. This is one of the requirements to become a Top Rated Seller on Bonanza and this has nothing to do with the star rating for your item(s) when cataloged.

Hope this helps clear a few things up! If you have any other questions about this, please email us back in support and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible!

Nice to know and thanks for sharing Bonanzajon. So glad to hear that the star rating is going to be improved. I really do worry about it reflecting on my as a seller.

I think if you “Report the item as miscataloged” by clicking the small “x” beside the “Catalog Info” it will remove these ratings. Look for the “Catalog Info” area on the right side of your listing. It will be a few sections below the “Add to Cart” button.

Thanks Empress, I did hear back from staff. This is my punishment for not selling 25 items in a year. Honestly, if it’s me this happens to or another seller, I feel it is grossly unfair to any seller to have somebody else’s rating on your listings, not to mention it’s not the truth.

Bonanzajon, how can that 4 star rating be a reflection on the item itself (my zebra ribbon), when there is no ribbon like mine when you click on that 4 star rating, nothing even similar. Just seems very wrong to have another seller’s rating on anybody else’s listing.

It’s already hard enough to try and get sales here. Another seller’s 4 star rating on my listing gives buyers ZERO confidence in me, and is just making things even more difficult.

Thanks for trying to clear up this situation.

I think it still happens even if a seller has had 25 sales in a year.

Punishment? I didn’t realize Bonanza did this sort of thing and it’s real disappointing to hear.
