Sorry for the long post would really appreciate some help with this thank you all in advance
I don’t know if many of you find the current variation system a pain but I do. Used to be an eBay seller now we have landed here. We’re a new store and the one thing we did like about ebay was the variation system. Was easy to create and could create any variation you wanted. Come here to find the system very cumbersome and very inconsistent.
We simply would like the option to create 2 drop down menus and have multiple options in the menus and then have the price calculated after both selections have been made for [URL removed]
Lets say we have a tv show called “Kelly’s Place” and there’s 12 years/seasons and 26 episodes per season. Under the show we would like to create a variation for the item and would like to have 2 drop down boxes in the item listing lets say “Season” and “Month”. Lets say a customer wants to buy Season/Year 1999 and then select Jan so “Jan of 1999” we would like the customer to be able to select the 2 options and then have the price calculated. Instead of having to type out hundreds of fields of variations we would like to be able type out all the months in one box for instance under editions we type out all the 12 months then in another field box we type all the years available then have customers select them and have the price come up. Typing out jan, 1991 , jan 1992, jan 1993 etc would take a very long time to do. We simply would just want to be able to have an edition variation and type the 12 months in that on variation then under another field be able to type add all seasons or years in that other box is this possible as this would save so much time?

Hi VWZ.
I do not deal with variations But it sounds like what you wish you could do with variations makes sense to me.

Remember these tips:
- Use links to other sources to support your opinions
- Use examples where possible
- Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?
Should I post a comment or an answer?
You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?

- Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question
Post a comment for:
- "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
- When you would like the original poster to provide more details
