I noticed when I edited a item yesterday to sell internationally (namely Canada) that the Credit or Debit Card option showing on the listing went away. The items that I did not change still show that option. Why is this happening? A lot of people do not know they can pay with a credit card using PayPal. The whole reason I made the change was to accommodate a interested buyer from Canada. The person sent me a message to see if there was a way she could pay with Visa. I had to let her know she had that option through PayPal. I want the Credit or Debit Card option to show along side the PayPal option. A lot of people do not like PayPal and my sales totally tanked as soon as the Direct Checkout option on Bonanza went away. I find it very distressing to say the least.

I believe that the only way that a buyer can pay with a credit/debit card is if they checkout using the PayPal option. However, a buyer does NOT need to have a PayPal account in order to make that payment. When they pay for their items via that option, they still get the same protection from their credit card company, since PayPal is simply acting as a “gateway” for payment.
