How long should it take for a vendor to respond to an offer?

I HAVE BEEN WAITING 11 DAYS FOR A VENDOR TO REPLY TO MY BID/OFFER. HOW MUCH LONGER SHOULD I WAIT?

I would say send a message ask what is going on..but if they have not replied to the offer by now..they are probably not going to relpy.

Check to see how long the seller has been on Bonanza (look at profile page, it will tell date joined, this will also tell when the last time they actually logged in)…In many case newer sellers are unsure as to how the OBO system here works and may not even know what to do..

good luck

If it takes over 11 days for the seller to reply, you might want to move on and purchase the item from someone else.

11 days is a very long time but if it was an insulting offer, perhaps they wont give you the courtesy of a reply.
Remember that YOUR Offer would be INCLUDING the shipping costs plus the cost of the item.
It works a bit different here than just an offer on the item only.

Also a good practice is to put an EXPIRE date on YOUR offer spelled out clearly so there is a certain amount of time involved for an return answer and you are not left hanging.

To update my query as to how long I should wait, it has now been 33 days sitting on the fence waiting for the vendor’s reply. It isn’t that I can’t cancel my offer, I just wanted t give the seller the oppertunity to

…To complete my comment, I had hoped the vendor would have had enough decency to at least acknowledge the offer!

To Answer Brilliantly

Remember these tips:

  • Use links to other sources to support your opinions
  • Use examples where possible
  • Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?

Should I post a comment or an answer?

You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?

Post an answer for:

  • Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question

Post a comment for:

  • "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
  • When you would like the original poster to provide more details
  • When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
