I'm confused about the seller fees

“We won’t charge this card if you pay your monthly bill via PayPal prior to the 5th of each month.” What monthly bill is this? I thought that was only if I wanted to do a store, not a booth. I have a moderate amount of items for sale, from an estate sale, but there’s no plans to make this F/T.

Why is there even a need to pay any fees through PayPal? Doesn’t Bonanza collect the money, and their fees, before it comes to my PayPal?

I’m very hesitant to add a card, AND PayPal, as I’ve had a bunch of BFS with a “well established company,” Yelp, and I don’t need another headache over paying fees that I was initially told I wouldn’t have, and that my card was “just in case.”

I would be MUCH more hesitant to add a credit card to ebay before i would Bonanza. I have been a member here for years, and never had a problem with Bonanza.

This is an official Bonanza response.

ccmom is pretty spot on here! Just to add, the percentage of seller fees depend on the advertising level you select on your Broadcaster. Also, new sellers who have less than 3 months of successful payments made toward their final value fees will have their final value fees automatically charged to the card on file each time their final value fees reach $ 25.00. All other sellers will have their final value fees automatically charged to the card on file each time their final value fees reach $ 100.00.

The fees they speak of is the fees from the selling of individual items. There may be other fees IF you sign up for specific promotions for advertising (I dont do that) kinda like a store on the other auction site or something they call Turbo here. There is also different levels of membership here that cost a monthly or yearly fee.

If it is just plain ole selling fees, then they wait until you get at least to $3.00 in fees before the payment is due. I sell little here so it can take me 6 months plus before I hit the $3.00 mark and right now, I need one more sale to get there. Minimum sell fee is .50 cents per item unless you choose a higher percent of advertising. I use the basic 9 pct advertising option just to get the items exposed to Google shopping. Anything higher and I may as well just sell it on the auction site.

No…the purchase of the item through paypal is between you and your buyer..bonanza does not handle the money exchange or have access to the payment

The monthly statement mentioned is to pay for fvf on any item sold…of which will be come visible on your Selling Dashboard..under Billing on the first of the month..if no fees are owed or less than $3.00 then there will be no bill.

If you choose not to use your PP account to pay your final value fees..then the credit card on file will be charged on the 5th of the month.

At one time a credit card was not neccessary to sign up for an account, but too many people..imported or set up booths for short term and then would close or move on without paying their fees…

My card has been on file since 2010 and I have never had any charges that I did not know about..usually just pay my fees with PP at the beginning of the month

If you do not sign up for a membership, a store or any of the turbo packages, then the only fees you will have are the fees resulting from a sale…
