My wife and I have been selling on Ebay for years… Like since 1999 or so… even before we met and got married! We feel Ebay is kind of winding down. We feel it’s becoming the MySpace of e-commerce.
We are new to Bonanza and we already see our items coming up in Google.
The thought of having a webstore is cool and paying $25.00 per month with no final value fees is appealing, but we are really confused of what the benefit is to Bonanza? Will our items still show up on a Google search? Does Bonanza still promote our items? The way I read it, we still have a booth AND a webstore, which makes me think that maybe if someone buys an item out of the “booth” we still get hit with FVF’s?
Then Pro Membership… how does that fit in? Does that really work? Do we go in for a free month trial and see how it works?
I’m hoping these questions make sense…

Hi David,
Welcome to Bonanza! Just wanted to send you some info regarding Webstores. If you sign up for a Webstore, you pay $25/month, but you will not receive any final value fees from purchases directly from your webstore.
If you’re on our 9% advertising level, your items from your booth will be automatically sent to Google Shopping, but shoppers will be directed to your booths before webstores. In order to have a Webstore, you need to have a booth and you do all of your inventory management on your Bonanza account. We currently don’t help advertise your webstore. However, we have been working on our webstores and we should have some exciting news for everyone here soon!
At this time, we would recommend continuing with your booth and getting familiar with the Bonanza platform. If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to us at support@bonanza.com and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

Welcome pickermall!
There is a huge difference between that other site and Bonanza. EBay advertises, Bonanza requires you do to the advertising whether it be social media (twitter, facebook, etc) or what ever means you deem fit. You have to drive your traffic to your booth.
Once you set your advertising level to 13% or higher, your items will be searchable in Google Shopping. It is highly recommended you update your booth several times a day. I add new items daily (liquidating my parents estate), and each time I add an item, I also update. Some days I add 20 items, which means I update (resend to google shopping) 20 times a day.
I have been here for about a year, and have enjoyed the site very much. The people here who are offering to help are supper, non judgmental, and you don’t feel stupid for asking questions.
OH, there are glitches and some very time consuming changes (if that’s what you want to do), just as Hammersmithgraphics mentioned. BUT those changes are not required, those are choices.
This site can be as easy as you want, or as specific (time consuming) as you want.
As for webstore. It is my understanding the webstore is not really part of Bonanza. Bonanza would be the host for the store. Not searchable in Bonanza. I’m sure someone with more experience and knowledge can give more insight.
As for the membership, I personally have not signed up for any membership. I sometimes opt for a turbo traffic pack or two. If sales are good, every once in a while, Bonanza will extend the length of time it runs
As I stated earlier, I’m confident others will jump in and give their opinion.
I hope this helps in some small way

Welcome to Bonanza David.
What Bonanzajon from the Bonanza staff says is good advice. This site is super easy to work once you learn it, but learn it and open a booth before you jump into paying fee’s for a webstore. I have been here for years and love it.
All the best to you and wishing you lots of sales.

Thanks for all the information…sounds like the webstore option is basically Bonanza just hosts your site (which is ok) without the benefits of them promoting your booth… My wife and I hosted stores through Shopify about 2 years ago and we were just throwing time and money out the window. We don’t mind being on the “ground floor” of Bonanza (even though it’s been around for ten years).
If we can get our Bonanza store up and running and leave Ebay eventually, that would be great! Bittersweet but great…

I would check your listings make sure you have them in the proper leaf categories and all the other stuff. I would check the forums and look over ALL the complications others are having with this site before you invest any money because for me and several others this site has been a complete nightmare and nothing more than a money pit. I just put up a advert in the bonanza forums to pay someone to fix my listings. yes you heard correctly I am having so much trouble and I’m so far in the hole with this site that my last ditch effort is to give my password to someone I don’t know and then pay them to fix up my listings. ya might want to chill and take a good look around before you do anything or before you end up with hundreds of man hours dumped into this site. I can say this I honestly wish a lot of success to you and yours because I liken this site to quicksand lol
