Hi, I hope you guys are doing well. I have a question about selling items in this community. Currently, I sell perfume body oils on eBay and my sales are going up every year. I really feel like I’ve been blessed, but a lot of things are going on eBay, and I need to start selling my items somewhere else as well. I used to use Bonanza for an alternative but I barely sold anything, meanwhile, I sold hundreds on eBay, so I stopped using Bonanza a year ago. But I’m considering using Bonanza again, and I would like to know how sellers are doing here these days. I would appreciate it if you could tell me about your experience as a seller in this community.

I do not yet promote my booth, so my information I am posting here is strictly based on paying a 9% maximum FVF for my items to show in Google shopping.
Also, I originally started on Bonanza in 2008 or so, left for about a year and a half and came back and opened this new booth here January 2017. My booth was on and off vacation mode during much of 2017 since I was working behind the scenes on my booth; some in 2018 but not nearly as much.
The reason I wanted to make sure and mention the above is that when giving my opinion below on Bonanza sales, you can take what I’ve said here into consideration.
I will go ahead and speak for 2018 keeping in mind about being in vacation mode a small amount in 2018 but also being in vacation mode the entire month of July.
From January 2018 thru May 2018, I had 24 sales because some sales were multiple item purchases equaling out to about 5 sales per month.
For June I had 8 sales.
For July my booth was on vacation the whole month.
For August I had 8 sales.
For September I had 11 due to multiple item purchases.
As you can see, it’s not pretty but I have made some gains past the month of May. It’s still not what I would have liked for it to have been. I wish I had the sales count from my old booth to compare but then again I had more inventory in my old booth, so it probably would not have been a good comparison.
Here’s what I am lacking on my [URL removed]
I have hardly any links out there on the internet to return to my booth.
I do hardly any advertising, if at all.
I’ve slacked and have not named my pictures on my computer before uploading onto Bonanza.
Here’s where Bonanza has [URL removed]
I have not made one single sale on the Bonanza site itself. All of my sales but one have been made through Google shopping and the one was for a sale I made via Bing.
So this part is extremely perplexing to me.
I have checked eBay from my cell for sold items before I buy something to resell just to make sure what I have is sellable and they are.
I hope this helps. I am really hoping for a good Christmas in sales. If I’m going to get a sale via directly on the Bonanza website, I figure Christmas time would be it. If not, I’ll continue to be perplexed.

I also just came here from ebay due to the changes there. I actually opened a booth last year but then closed it down almost immediately~~I didn’t understand that much about this site.
I just opened my booth back up on 10/4 due to the sudden halt of ANY sales on ebay. It was like they turned the lights out on me. I started by listing my cpap supplies that ebay doesn’t allow to be sold on their site. I have sold 2 cpap hoses so far in just the last few days. I just imported a lot of my ebay listings so I have over 150 items listed right now.
The FVF are so much better here than at ebay and I’m saving 35 cents each in listing fees I would otherwise have to pay ebay after using up my free 50.
The upside is that I’m sure there will be MANY more ebay sellers and buyers coming here from ebay since they are stopping the option of accepting paypal. When they take the paypal option away from me I’m ending all my listings there. I think Bonanza will grow which means more sales as the ebay sellers and buyers leave ebay.

I hear ya on the Ebay issue! Scary the way things are going over there! Hence the reason I came back here. Sales are WAAAAY slow here, lack of traffic. Not much advertising on Admin. part. I equate it to a real estate firm. Brokers (the admin) get the listing agents (we sellers) to bring in the customers (buyers) and the listings (our product items). BUT brokers do advertise. Everything here is up to the sellers. I promote to the max but it doesn’t help. I would get a membership if my sales were better. So things really haven’t changed here.
