UPDATED - Stripe issues to watch

UPDATE to this thread…
I turned off Stripe to give Bonanza time to get the kinks worked out.
I turned it back on 2 weeks ago and have zero issues as noted before. Now I have about half of my orders paid through Stripe and have no issues at all. I have seen a minimal effect on the number of orders through Paypal from prior months.

Anyone who has setup Stripe on Bonanza, be sure to check your stripe account.
I had 4 payment authorizations, and no idea what the items were. I opted to capture them tonight when I saw them thinking they would send the info back to Bonanza, and now I am may have to refund these orders since Stripe does not communicate email addresses. This isn’t Bonanza’s fault.
I would have never known I had these authorizations to capture had I not stumbled across them, so check your payments in Stripe.

Thanks for sharing. I’m a little lost. R u going to keep Stripe, just curious to know. I was wanting to post the other night asking about how it is going for people who accept Stripe.

I am keeping Stripe but it is something to watch. There is zero communication back to Bonanza when the payments are captured manually, so this is where the problem comes in. Auto-capture sends the order info back fine though. It also looks like it is only a pre-paid debit card that it happens with.

Thank you

I had stripe before and immediately started to get spam saying i had these huge payments for things i sold and they were waiting for me to contact them., i contacted stripe, (not how the message told me to) but directly, and they said it was spam. However this started happening the very next day after i got strip and it went on for weeks, so i disabled stripe and never get the messages again. I wrote this on Bonanza’s blog about Stripe, but they did not publish my comment.

Seems censorship is heavy here (even if the comment is helpful to others). Freedom of speech is not practiced here it seems.

I saw that you had this issue with Stripe when you commented on a post in this forum, misskeech.

I’ve had good truthful comments I’ve made on Bonanza’s blog in the past not get posted. It really aggravates me when this happens. I’ve also come close to just not worry about posting to their blogs, probably will stop one day, sad to say. It’s good to know the good, bad and the ugly as long as it..
