My new store has alerted me that I do not have a “Favicon”. What is a Favicon? I cannot find an article explaining what it is or how I obtain one. Can someone please assist? Thank you. Linda

You do mean for your webstore…???
definition of favicon
Favicons are small 16×16 icon files that are displayed next to the URL of your site in a browser’s address bar. Additionally they’re often displayed next to the name of your site in a user’s list of open tabs and bookmark listings making it easier for the user to quickly identify amongst other sites.
Someone with a webstore can probably tell you where to upload a chosen Icon for your webstore…or get the information here

here is a site where you can generate one of your design
[URL removed]
assuming they are the little symbols that appear next to site names

Remember these tips:
- Use links to other sources to support your opinions
- Use examples where possible
- Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?
Should I post a comment or an answer?
You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?
Post an answer for:
- Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question
Post a comment for:
- "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
- When you would like the original poster to provide more details
- When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
