Add on membership?

I just imported 200+ items from ebay selected the 13% ad fees. In opting for a membership how much more helpful will this be. . At this point on items under $500 I could be paying 3% more then i do now on ebay as i pay 10%. Now i see if i want to increase my traffic at the low end it will cost me $300 for the year at a basic membership rate. How helpful is this. One but not the only reason i am slowly leaving ebay is the fees. It looks as I could be paying even more at this site with a lower traffic count . Could anyone give me some incite in to validly of a membership after i am paying a 13% ad fee.

I paid for a turbo pack and even with that traffic is very slow 2% used in 6 days I will give the site 30 more days and look at the traffic and determine what I want to do next.

.It has been about 30 days and even with a turbo pack vary little traffic this is disappointing seems I am wasting my time on this site. Was hoping for more. I do up to $10.000 per month on ebay at times . Not a single sale or email here.

I use to be Bonanzas best cheerleader but no more. I have not had a sale since 1/2/19 and I am a Gold member (which I will not renew). I tried the Bonanza web store for several months and only had 1 sale and gave that up the first of this year. Could it be that is one reason why I have only 1 sale in 2019? So while trying to support Bonanzas many free features by purchasing additional features, I have reached my limit in making excuses. So would I recommend you purchasing additional features? Bluntly a big No, because, based on my personal experience, it is a waste of money. I use to have multiple sales on Bonanza but no more. With that said, at least of eBay you would have a chance of making sales although the fees are higher. I gave up my eBay store 2 years ago and do not want to go back. As an alternative to eBay and Bonanza, I am testing a new app, postcart.co ( yes the dot co is correct and is not dot com). Please be aware there is a similar service post-cart.com which I do not recommend since you only get paid once a month. I do not know many sellers who can afford to wait a month to get their earnings. Most want to reinvest it, etc. Some features of postcart.co are- Free Forever Plan-$0 monthly fee, Unlimited Listings, 5.5% Sales Transaction Fee, Stripe Credit Processing Rate 2.9% + 30 cents, Accept PayPal, Built in SEO for Google + Bing (which on Bonanza requires a higher fee to Bonanza, Real time shipping rates through Shippo, Also has a pickup feature, Analytics, Social media widgets, ability to set up catagories. With that said, there is no csv feature and to do a listing, you need to take a photo on Instagram through the app then are able to add additional photos. Also an additional feature is that the app Builds You A Store! which you can use with your own domain too. Enough said. Good Luck.

I hit the best anwser by mastake

I’ll let others address your question about membership, but one thing stood out when I looked at your items. Many say pickup only (obviously too big to ship). However, there is no indication of WHERE a buyer would pick them up from. Or did I somehow miss this information? Consider adding this information to either your profile page or in the listing’s description.

I would set my final value fees at 9%, and like EmpressDepot said, to get your feet wet and learn the ropes. In addition, you should really fill out the ‘About me’ section of your booth and add as much information as possible. The same goes for having as much information as possible in your descriptions, especially concerning the pick-up location. If you have feedback from eBay, that should be imported to show you have been selling online. You definitely have a niche market and should promote your items as much as possible across social media. We do have to work a bit harder on Bonanza for our sales. And, rather than a membership, I do think buying a Turbo Traffic at least one time to see how it works for you would be helpful. I think, given a bit of time, you will see that Bonanza is not as expensive as eBay. The one biggie is no relisting fees. You items stay listed until they sell or you delete them. And, when you have questions there are so many wonderful people in the community forum that are willing to help. I come here every day and am always learning something. Good luck to you.

Please excuse my comment about importing your feedback. You have done that and it was a oversight on my part.

Thanks for the response I have been selling on ebay from 1998 and have 100% feed back . All the listings on Bonanza are imported. So on ebay it gives the buyers a option to get a shipping quote from my local 48160. I did not realize that it does not do that here. .as for the “about me” I will d

I would not worry about getting a membership right now. Give yourself a chance to get your feet wet here first while u r learning Bonanza. Then, if u decide Bonanza is a good fit u can do one free month with the gold membership. If u like it and there are signs that the gold membership is worth it, then u can pay for a monthly membership (or a yearly membership at a discount).

Membership or no membership, expect low to no sales here. Paying for a membership is a big waste of money, it will not bring you any more sales than a non-membership booth. I deleted the items in my booth for right now because of VERY LOW sales. Yes, I did a LOT of advertising on social media, but because Bonanza is not very well known, I had low sales. 12 in over a years time. Save your money, go with a free booth at 9%. No matter what they say about paying the full amount will depend on how much traffic THEY generate, they will ALWAYS charge you the full percentage.

I agree with the other answers you [URL removed] try out a free booth first before you decide to pay for membership.

However, there’s another important point to reducing your fees on [URL removed] Use your referral link in any social media posts, emails, etc… And make sure you add your website domain (if you have one). If you do that, then you pay zero fees for any buyer that comes to your booth directly from your social media post / email / website.

The free referral info is a bit hidden, so it’s easy to overlook. Under your Seller Dashboard, go to Advertising / Free Referral Traffic.

I did that and just about all of my traffic was self generated, was still charged the full amount.

KazooDecor says: April 02, 2019

KarensCollections – hmm doesn’t seem right. Maybe you should bring it up with Bonanza? I did notice, however, that the terms say something [URL removed] there are no fees if the buyer came to your item & purchased directly from your referral link. If they bookmark & come back later it doesn’t count…
