Before I get started let me same my intention is not to bash Bonanza but to share what I have learned today.
I have spent some time examining why I have no sales on Bonanza. What I have learned is that many other sellers are of the opinion that Bonanza throttles your listing unless you pay.
Also many sellers are of the opinion that if your going to purchase a store that ebay is a better investment for that store because your sales actually increase. The sellers that have invested in the store or membership at Bonanza have found that the traffic and sales remained pretty much the same.
Another thing many sellers believe is google shopping is the cause for most sales at Bonanza and definitely not on site traffic at Bonanza because most online shoppers have never heard of Bonanza and for that reason site traffic is non existent. Hom many of you go to google shopping to find an item before you go directly to a site like eBay or Amazon that you are familiar with?
The thing that bothers me the most of all of this is the thought of my listings being throttled in search. I sale on other sites and have more then 1 account on eBay for sales. I have good sales overall but see no activity here on Bonanza.
I know Bonanza defenders are going to say you have to promote your items and this and that.
I have promoted my items here at Bonanza on social media the same as I do for the other sites I sale on.
I’m going to give this Bonanza site 2 more months to see what happens.
I honestly believe that Bonanza is crippling itself by not advertising and throttling.
Bonanza if you want a larger number of sales and more sellers and buyers you are going to have to market yourself. 10 Year’s And most online shoppers never heard of you. That’s a problem.

I think you’re being a little too hard on Bonanza. It’s a great selling venue. Yes, getting people here is a problem, but that’s the case if you have your own site, and other selling venue’s as well. After TONS of research for the last few years, it’s clear that amazon is the big problem for small sellers no matter the venue. They’re sucking the life out of small businesses, literally bankrupting some. They’ve totally monopolized e-commerce. Until they’re reigned in, us little sellers will struggle. But I think changes are coming – sure hope so, anyway. There’s now reason to believe something will be done about their swindling and crushing other businesses.
And then there’s google…love of the big players, no friend to the little guy/gal. But since people keep flocking to google in spite of all the negatives and privacy issues, it’s used to get some traffic here. I get that and accept that in spite of my loathing for that G-monster, but have hope it will change in time because google’s practices are so unfair and slowly but surely people are becoming more aware of their shenanigans.
Next we have fake – er – facebook and twitter i.e. social networking. That isn’t going to help at all. It’s too saturated and people are using it more to bash, trash, fight, bicker, swindle, stalk, lie, cheat and steal – not shop. The ads on those sites also favor the big players/spenders and consider the small business person useless because that’s what those sites are really all about – gathering people’s personal data and using it for advertising.
You could encourage your fee-bay customers to come here. I put a business card in each fee bay sale and on it I have “for a bigger selection visit my Bonanza booth” and then add the URL. I’ve already gotten a few sales here by doing that and I just started. I offer items here that I don’t on fee bay and some items I price lower. If everything is duplicated here or on fee bay, fee bay is more likely to get the top result just because people are more familiar with them.
As sellers here, I really believe we have to be more creative in getting people to our booths. Social networking is a bust – waste of time and money if you’re buying “likes” and/or tweets. And quality listings are important – cheap junky listings make the whole site look – well, cheap.
I’m rambling, sorry. Either keep working it or if you’re so discouraged you’re getting yourself all upset, perhaps Bonanza isn’t a good fit for you. Good luck whatever you decide to do.

I am slowly transferring all my Bonanza items to another site. I opened my own site and have it as an online store. I like having my own place a lot better. I’ve been on Bonanza since around November of 2017, and have made about 4 sales. I have advertised the crapola out of my booth here to no avail. It;s just not worth hanging around any longer.

well, its safe to say i have tried everything on nanza. at this time i have tried 2 of their subscriptions. and i have google and bing ads pointed at this site and i havent sold anything. that being said i sell like crazy on ebay. and i have tried telling nanza. but it must have fell on deaf ears. if they would get their butts in gear and do something they would make decent money off me alone. but, i guess they dont want to i dont know. i just use this place for a picture dump so i can store my pics and stuff here instead of on my puter

your statement is simply not true – it is up to you to get your items promoted and out there via social media or other venues

Well it looks as if what I originally stated is divided 50/50
Perhaps Bonanza has a click

What empirical data do you have to back up your claim? How many sellers comprise your “many sellers” source pool?

I have been on Bonanza for many years now and I have paid for all the bells and whistles off and on, it makes no difference if your paying or not. If you do not have what someone is looking for it just will not matter.
I like Bonanza my sales are not great but it works, Have sold some big ticket items here. I think they need to work on their shipping program it stinks..
I as about everyone sell on more than one site, its no different than owning a franchise. Each client is familiar with the site they like so trying to drag or coach them to a site they may never have heard of could hurt or or help?

I have had only 2 sales on Bozo so far. I like this site as I can make HPLs. I fave HPLs. I was sad when Esty took that feature away.
And TBH, the HPLs is really the only thing that makes this site fun for me. Being the slow traffic, I’d have quit this before I started.
You know, now that I think of it, I like the daily Bonanza Rewards too.
I agree that Bozo needs to get their name out there. This will drive traffic directly to the site so people can browse EVERYONE’S stuff, not just individual stuff that appears on Google Shopping~~which I don’t use, BTW.
I don’t have a cell phone, so I can’t use apps. I do put my listings on Tumblr, Twitter, Pinterest, and FB. It’s not work at all to do this. Just copy and paste.
I don’t think I’ve generated much traffic via these venues. But it’s no skin off my back to do it.
The great thing about this site is that there’s no up-front fees, unless someone buys a store (or whatever they call it here).
I was doing well on C-Bay (not sure if we are allowed to use other selling plaform names here) UNTIL I bought into the store. Then my sales plummeted! I barely even made enough $$$ to pay my monthly store fee.
Oh well. There’s a whole Hades of a lot of online competition. I think that’s the biggest issue.
I don’t have a store here~~yet. I don’t see me buying into one. I see what happened on C-Bay when I did it there.
I truly hope sales pick up for you. The more sellers we have here, the more the customers will be attracted to this site.
I agree that Bozo needs to step up the name recognition. I never heard of Bozo until right before I started selling here. A friend of mine sent a list on online selling platforms and Bozo was one of the sites on that list.
I must say that the shipping agreement other sites have with USPS/UPS does put the others ahead of the game. I would like to see Bozo do the same. Those shipping charges will make or break a sale.
