I found this beautiful hen on a nest butter covered dish made of glass with colors changing from green to amber. It’s 6.5in long. No markings on glass. Maybe a collector can recognize the brand? I went through all listings online with title Hen on Nest and to no avail. Couldn’t find exactly the same piece – especially green to orange color palette and smooth rim no beading nor any kind of decorative finish

UPDATE 2/12/2013 as of this date I want to thank all who were trying to help. There is no other hen that looks like the one above, so I keep on looking.

I used to see those in the 60s and 70s. It’s a vintage item. It might be Indiana Glass, but I don’t know.

It doesn’t look like carnival glass to me, but the two tone coloring is very pretty!
Indiana Glass nest bases have beading around the top, at least all the ones I’ve seen have the beading, so I don’t think it’s one of theirs.
Maybe I overlooked it, but checking all the nest bases on the above site, I don’t see any bases that match yours.
