The PT-76 is a Soviet light floating tank powered by hydrodynamic propellers in the water. The project was created in 1950, and a year later the tank entered service in the Red Army. Serial production continued until 1967. Its modernized version-Type 63 is manufactured in China. Its main task is the reconnaissance service in reconnaissance units of armored and mechanized divisions. The PT-76's survivability on the battlefield is rather low, mainly due to the very thin armor.
