You are buying a circa 1920s-40s SOLID STERLING SILVER 2 1/2? wide 1/4? thick compact. This piece is marked sterling on back by hinge maker mark stamped and weighs 72.0 grams. There is a monogram CGV.
The condition is very good 1 tiny pinhead slight dent on the back. The mirror has no spotting. The original powder pad is inside.
