Angel of Fire was painted, by me, in 2017. The subject is a woman with wings made of flame, with long hair in the same shades as the flame, dressed in fire-red, soot-black, and creamy yellows. She holds a dragon-headed staff in one hand, and an arcane tome of fire in the other. As she touches down to earth, the grass pays homage, bowing away in a wave of red and leaving her in a blasted blackened patch. Behind her flaming sandal, a body of water reflects her flaming wings. The very edge of a mountain rage can be seen in the distance, and the faraway clouds distort through the heat haze that wreathes her. Note; all the best images of it are of the original painting.
