For sale are three Appollo 11 collectable items. The Apollo 11 mission was the historic first human spaceflight to land on the Moon, a monumental achievement by NASA that effectively won the Space Race for the United States. Commanded by Neil Armstrong, the mission successfully fulfilled President John F. Kennedy's 1961 goal to land a person on the Moon and return them safely to Earth before the decade was out. This issue is a notable collector's item published the day after the Apollo 11 crew's return to Earth. It features a thirteen-page article detailing the Apollo 11 mission and its historical significance within the Space Race. 2.TIME Magazine July 18, 1969 ?To the Moon" "Special Supplement". This issue detailed the Apollo 11 mission plans, the science behind the journey, and the anticipation surrounding the event before the actual landing. The supplement used illustrations and graphics to explain the mission and captured the era's belief that anything imaginable was achievable. 3.The Historic Flight of Apollo 11 - 7 Souvenir Photos All items are used but in good condition.
