Vintage Horse Sterling Silver Brooch Pin Handcrafted Signed Enewold California Designer OOAK Figural Whimsical Abstract Jewelry Modernist Artisan Signed Hand Made Metalsmith Mixed Metal Made in United States USA Chunky Statement Piece Figural Animal Steed Stallion Mare This is a whimsical and adorable sterling silver horse brooch or pin. It has the look of a caricature or abstract folk art design. It is signed on the back “K. ENEWOLD” and “STERLING”. Katie has been involved in arts and crafts for years. She created baskets, pottery, stained glass and more. After she took classes in metalsmithing in Monterey over 20 years ago, she fell in love with creating jewelry, and specialized in mixed metals using sterling silver, copper and brass. This is a large brooch that measures approximately 2 1/8 inches wide and 2 inches tall. It weighs .25 ounces on my postage scale, which converts to 7.09 grams. It is in great vintage condition with a nice patina to the silver as you can see by the enlarged photographs. I have not polished it as many people prefer the patina that comes only with age.
