Beautiful Vintage Enameled Wooden Wall and similar items

Offered here is this nice Vintage Wall Hanging. The piece is made of compressed wood, and has been painted with gold and black. There is an enameled profile image in the center with some Latin words. The plaque has a metal hanger, which is attached to some gold velvet. This same velvet also is mounted behind the image. The entire piece has the appearance of a large medal. I am unsure of its age, however, I believe that it probably dates to the 1970's. It is 7.75" square, with the hanger adding another 4.25" making the entire length about 11.75" total.
