I have used 2 virtual crystal 8mm purple faceted beads, cinnamon red colored glass hearts in 2 sizes, 6mm clear faceted czech glass beads and tiny imitation pearls. I have strung it with special magic beading elastic for strength and durability. It stretches to fit comfortably up to about 7 1/2". If you see something you like but would like it a little different I also custom make jewelry, (as long as I have the supplies) Check out my other items..
